David Marshall has been selected as a Washington Super Lawyer in criminal defense for 2026 — his eleventh selection overall, spanning 2003–2005 and every year from 2019 through 2026.
The selection process is multi-phase and research-driven. Candidates are nominated by fellow attorneys who have personally observed them in action. Self-nominations are not permitted, and outside-firm nominations carry the most weight.
Each candidate is then evaluated across twelve indicators of professional achievement and peer recognition, with the final list capped at 5% of attorneys in the state.
This is the eighth consecutive year David has been recognized. That kind of consistency reflects the reputation he has built, case by case, over decades of criminal defense work in Washington.
